Terms and Conditions
Please read through these terms and conditions.
On your first visit I will ask you to complete a customer care card and discuss the grooming process, expectations and cost. By completing the customer care card, you are agreeing to these A Star Canine Spa Terms and Conditions. These may vary from time to time, but is your responsibility as the owner to remain abreast of these changes.
If I feel that de-matting your dog would cause too much stress and discomfort I may recommend a complete clip down. This will dramatically change your dog’s appearance as their hair will be short and close to the skin. A complete clip down may expose pre-existing skin conditions such as hotspots, sores, parasite infestation, urine and faeces scalding, fungal, bacterial and yeast infections. If these are detected I recommend you seek immediate advice from your vet.
If your dog has fleas or you suspect any parasite infestation, please tell me at the time of booking the appointment and the options can be discussed. If I discover fleas on your dog during the grooming process I have no option but to bath your dog in a suitable commercial shampoo in order to prevent any infestation in my premises and your home. A minimum charge of £10 will be added to your bill to cover the additional time and cost.
My first concern is for the welfare of your dog so in the event of injury or illness I may call a vet and unless it can be clearly shown that A Star Canine Spa is liable, all costs in connection with and in the carrying out of this instruction shall be at the owner’s expense.
Payment is cash only and may be made on dropping off or on collection of the dog. Owners are requested to collect their dogs at the time stated as A Star Canine Spa has a one dog at a time policy and no holding facilities.
It is a requirement that you advise me on arrival if your dog has any medical conditions, is taking medication prescribed by a vet and any other information which could help me provide a stress-free dog grooming service for your dog. You will be asked to complete a customer care card giving these details.
